About CABC

China-Africa Business Council (CABC) is a non-government organization (NGO) jointly established

by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges (CICETE), and the China Society for Promotion of the Guangcai Program (CSPGP). Planned since March 2005, the opening ceremony of the secretariat of the Council was held on August 25th 2005. On October 23rd 2006, the CABC was approved by the Chinese Central Government and officially registered under the Ministry of Civil Affairs (MCA).

Mr. HU Deping, Vice-Minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, 1st Vice-Chairman of All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce (ACFIC), Chairman of the CSPGP, was elected Chairman of the first board of directors of CABC. The administrative unit of the CABC was the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee.

On March 31st 2012, the second general assembly of the CABC elected the second board of

directors. Dr. ZHENG Yuewen,

Vice-Chairman of the 9th ACFIC, Vice-Chairman of the 10th All-China General Chamber of Commerce (ACGCC) and Chairman of China International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector (CICCPS), was elected as chairman. The meeting also adopted the agreement on changing the administrative unit of the CABC to the ACFIC. Moreover, it was also agreed that the CABC and the CICCPS will share the same office.

Our Mission

Actively guide and serve Chinese enterprises in their process of “going abroad”. Through establishing close relationship with domestic and foreign partners, create favorable environment for China-Africa economic and technical cooperation, and thus facilitate global exchange about the Guangcai Program, to promote China-Africa and South-South Cooperation.

Organize business visits to Africa for our members and receive delegations from African countries.

Grasp investment opportunities and recommend those projects to our members. Provide our members with project feasibility, local investment policy, and investment environment information.

Information Service

Provide high-quality information service for our members through the Council’s own database, other websites, newsletters and publications.

Financial Service

Develop strategic partnership with various domestic and international financial institutions, including the China Development Bank， the CAD Fund and the IFC to facilitate project financing.

HR Service

Organize various workshops, forums and trainings to give our members opportunities to study and share experience about internationalization. This service also includes introducing foreign talents to our members.

Exhibition Service

Hold exhibitions in both China and Africa to promote China-Africa trade, investment and technology exchange.
